If you are a new photographer, then it is actually alright if you make mistakes, but you need to make sure that you will learn from it and as much as possible not to make such mistake again.

Most of the time if you are new photographer, you will become overwhelmed by the things that you can think of what to shoot which leads you to most often than not you will not be able to choose a subject and that is definitely a mistake. With new photographers most of the mistakes are around the subject itself, like if you are too far as well if you decide to have a subject, it is a mistake since the photo will definitely look blurry even after you edit it out and you need to understand that when you change the size of the photograph, most of the time the resolution will also decrease, giving you a low quality looking photos.

Another mistake is that when the photo is under exposed or over exposed. This is a mistake if you do not really know how to use the features of your camera, and not just when you take shots but as well as when you edit your photos. Nobody wants to receive an underexposed or overexposed or burnt quality photos. If you do not understand what under exposed is, when your photo looks too dark even if it looks okay in reality, but when you try to capture it with the lens of your camera, you need to make sure that the exposure was set just enough to lighten up the photo. And when it comes to over exposed, you need to lower the exposure or have it in a negative number if possible if the location where you are having the photo shoot has a harsh light, then you can just adjust it. Though, later on, if you already know a lot about photography, such issues will be able to be fixed with stuff like reflectors, big umbrellas for some shading and effects on your camera.

Now another most common mistake with photography is when you have unrealistic colours on your photograph, unless you are aiming for fantasy shoots then you can go crazy with the colours of your photos and as well as when you edit it. That is why if you are editing it; make sure that it will still look realistic.

And the most important thing that you need to avoid are blurry pictures, with time, you will be able to take better pictures that are not blurry. If you have taken a blurry photo, that is actually a waste of time. But you will regret it if you are shooting a moving subject/s or object/s since that is when you will only realize how important to take sharp and focused photos so that you will be able to capture that right moment, most importantly if that moments will not be have a second take just because you did not get the right shot that you need to take. If it is still your first time to be in to photography then what you need to do before you become more in depth about it is that you need o know which particular field in photography you want to pursue, like if you want portrait photography, landscape and etc. since there are a lot of tips and tricks that you can do, but whatever you choose, here are some of the general tips and tricks that you can use as a starter photographer.

The first thing that you should always keep in mind about photography is lighting. No matter how great the view is or your subject, if the photo is not good, then that will not make your viewers to be able to appreciate the beauty of what you are seeing. Since in photography, you need to make sure that the beauty will be shown in the photographs or as much as possible, you will be able to make your viewers see what you see with your real eyes, through the lens of your camera. Lighting is very important in all types of photography, actually not just in photography but in all types of art, like film for example, just like photography you need to make sure that your subject is properly lit.

Now when you are going to take pictures of children, like babies or toddlers for example is that you need to make sure that you have enough patience since most of the time you will not be able to get the right photo that you want but you will be able to work on what they are giving to you that is why as much as possible you need to have enough patience. And also, when they are in the mood, you need to keep them entertained and make them comfortable with you so that you will be able to be comfortable in looking through those lenses, resulting to achieving the photos that you like.

Then another thing is that if you have any problem with lighting is that you need to take advantage of artificial lighting so that you will be able to produce a photo that shows the real beauty of your subject. Most of the time you will be able to get such results when you are outdoors and it can only run in a span of a few minutes.

Another tip that you need to know is if you are going to shot outdoors and you want to get that golden or warm glow in the photos is that you need to work on the golden hour which refers to the first hour of sunlight and the last hour of the day. This means that if you are thinking of an outdoor photo shoot, you only need to choose whether sunrise or sunset, that is why for photo shoots, if you will choose to have it done during sunrise, then you must already be prepared at least 2 hours before sunrise since you need to understand that when the sun rises, that is the most crucial time for you as a photographer, your crew and your subject as well since you need to move fast as you can, get the shots that you wanted while the sun is still rising, and the same thing with sunset.
